ELPA Java Issue
On Tuesday, April 16, 2013, Java released an update for Mac OSX versions 10.6.8, 10.7, and 10.8 that in some cases prevents students from logging into the ELPA. AIR has investigated and confirmed that the Secure Browser cannot circumvent this Java update. If possible, districts administering the ELPA using Mac OSX versions 10.6.8 or 10.7 should avoid installing the Java update until after the ELPA test window closes next Tuesday, April 30, 2013. If your district has already installed the update, AIR recommends temporarily reverting to an earlier version of Java or administering the ELPA on machines using a different operating system.Added 4/24/2013
